Status: Construction began in mid-2009 and is scheduled for completion in 2020. The first Romaine commissioning is planned for 2014.

Project Details: Hydro-Québec Production has obtained the necessary approvals to build its 1,550-megawatt (MW) hydroelectric complex on the shores of the Rivière Romaine, north of the municipality of Havre-Saint-Pierre on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River. The complex will consist of four hydropower generating stations with annual output of eight terawatt hours (TWh).
