Description:

The first phase will include the opening of additional neonatal intensive care unit beds at the BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre, site preparations for the new hospital, scheduled to begin in early 2014, and construction of a new clinical support building and free-standing child daycare centre. The second and third phases of the project will include the building of the new BC Children’s Hospital and renovations and expansion of the BC Women’s Hospital. Tendering for the clinical support building was finalized in 2011 and Bird Construction was selected as the preferred proponent to design and build the facility.
