Motorists are advised Highway 63 has been closed and traffic has been diverted to Highway 881 following a single vehicle collision near Wandering River.
The electronic message boards located in Lac La Biche, Grassland, and Fort McMurray will notify motorists of the detour onto Highway 881.
Motorists can expect traffic disruptions on Highway 63 between the Athabasca River and Thickwood Boulevard in Fort McMurray for ongoing construction. The southbound and northbound traffic will have alternating reductions between 10 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. from Sept. 2 to Sept. 5, weather permitting.
Motorists should use caution in the area and obey all signs and flag people. Motorists are reminded that fines for speeding are doubled through construction zones when workers are present.

The governments of Alberta and Northwest Territories met in Edmonton August 31 to discuss the economy, environment, tourism, transportation and energy.
Alberta Minister of Finance and Enterprise Ted Morton and Northwest Territories Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Michael Miltenberger are co-chairs of the Northwest Territories-Alberta Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Cooperation and Development Steering Committee and meet on a regular basis. The MOU gives both jurisdictions the opportunity to discuss cross-boundary issues and their impacts.
