Motorists are advised that there will be minor traffic delays as a result of lane reductions and ramp closures on Anthony Henday Drive Southbound between 87 Avenue and Whitemud Drive starting on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Motorists are advised that the Highway 2 and 2A overpass at Leduc is temporarily closed.
Alberta students learned about bicycle safety from a Canadian Olympian and Tour de France competitor as part of Traffic Safety Day, an annual event held to increase awareness of traffic safety.
Alex Stieda, the first North American to wear the yellow jersey at the Tour de France, an Olympic competitor and a Commonwealth Games medalist, spoke to Grade Two and Three students from St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School.
Motorists can expect minor traffic delays at the Peace River crossing.
Access from southbound Anthony Henday Drive to Callingwood Road/62nd Avenue, and from westbound Callingwood Road to southbound and northbound Anthony Henday Drive will close to traffic from Tuesday, Sept. 13, to Saturday, Oct. 15.
The closures will allow crews to remove the existing traffic signal and complete construction of the southbound off-ramp at the new interchange. When complete, the interchange will allow for the free flow of traffic on and off Anthony Henday Drive at Callingwood Road/62nd Avenue.
Motorists are advised that the rail crossing on Highway 549 near Okotoks will be closed for one day for repairs.
The rail crossing is located on the western edge of the town and the closure will occur from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 14, weather permitting.
Motorists can expect lane and ramp closures on Anthony Henday Drive this weekend between 87th Avenue and Whitemud Drive.
Starting at 5 a.m. on Sept. 10, southbound Anthony Henday Drive will be reduced to one lane between 87th Avenue and Whitemud Drive. The closure accommodates paving the southbound lanes. Southbound traffic will be restored to two lanes by 6 p.m. on Sept. 11.
Motorists can expect detours and minor traffic delays on Highway 672 near Hythe.
Motorists are advised that Highway 830 traffic will be detoured for a day near Bruderheim to accommodate emergency repairs to a rail crossing.
The repair affects Highway 830 between its junctions with Highways 15 and 38. Traffic north of the rail crossing will be detoured 6.5 kilometres east to the junction with Highway 45. Traffic south of the rail crossing will be detoured three kilometres east to the junction with Highway 45.
