VICTORIA – Regulations are being streamlined for large commercial vehicles travelling across the boundaries of the three westernmost provinces.
NANAIMO – The Province is investing $7.5 million to help restore passenger train service on Vancouver Island, announced Premier Christy Clark.

DAWSON CREEK – Work is underway to restore access on Highway 97 between Chetwynd and Mackenzie Junction and other priority routes throughout the Peace Region, following major floods and washouts.
DAWSON CREEK – Heavy rainfall combined with high stream flows in the Peace Region has resulted in flooding, forcing the closure of a number of roads.
PORT ALBERNI – Two aging timber bridges on Highway 4 west of Port Alberni will be replaced with wider concrete structures, further improving safety along this important and scenic route to the west coast of Vancouver Island.
NORTH/WEST VANCOUVER – Families riding buses on Marine Drive and across the Lions Gate Bridge now have a faster, more reliable trip across the North Shore and into Metro Vancouver thanks to the opening of two new bus-only lanes.
SURREY – Transit travel from South Surrey to Richmond and Vancouver will be improved with the widening of the BNSF railway overhead on Highway 99 to accommodate the shoulder bus lane currently under construction.
