RFQ Released for Burns Lake Health Centre in British Columbia

The Request for Qualifications process has begun for a new hospital and health care centre in Burns Lake, BC. The RFQ process is expected to be completed and moved into the Request for Proposal stage fairly quickly, the goal is to have the design build proponent selected by March, 2013.

Completion of the LEED Gold facility is expected to be completed in 2015. Wood will be used extensively on the exterior and interior of the building, which is consistent with the provincial Wood First Act. The project is expected to cost $50-$55 million and funding will be shared by the Province and Stuart Nechako Regional Hospital District.
