Nighttime road closure disrupts traffic on 97 Street in Edmonton
Motorists are advised that 97 Street/Highway 28 will be closed between 167 Avenue to 195 Avenue from 8:30 p.m. Saturday, August 28 until 7 a.m. Sunday, August 29 for bridge construction. Access from 176 Avenue to southbound 97 Street will remain open.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and follow they signs to detour safely using 82 Street. Motorists are reminded that fines for speeding are doubled through construction zones when workers are present.

Government of Canada Invests in New Windsor Port Authority Marine Facility
Today it was announced that Windsor will benefit from a new marine facility at the Windsor Port that will help support economic growth and improve the quality of the transportation network in the region. The Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure, and Communities, and Jeff Watson, Member of Parliament for Essex, today joined Charles S. Pingle, Chairman, Windsor Port Authority Board, and David Cree, President and CEO, Windsor Port Authority, to celebrate this investment from the Government of Canada.
Key Infrastructure Projects Completed in Hastings Highlands; Others Underway
Hastings Highlands residents have a new recreational centre and an upgraded sports field thanks to a partnership between the governments of Canada and Ontario and the municipality.
Daryl Kramp, Member of Parliament for Prince Edward-Hastings; the Honourable Leona Dombrowsky, Member of Provincial Parliament for Prince Edward-Hastings; and his Worship Ronald J. Emond, Mayor of Hasting Highlands, celebrated the official opening of the Hastings Highlands Recreational and Cultural Facility and of the Maynooth Sports Field. At the same time, the dignitaries highlighted construction on Musclow Greenview and Peterson roads.
Canada and New Brunswick Invest in Water, Highway and Local Road Infrastructure
Today, the Governments of Canada and New Brunswick announced an investment in four infrastructure projects that will create and maintain local jobs, improve and enhance the safety of local roads and drinking water, and build a stronger future for the city of Saint John.
The $4.5 million announcement was made by Rodney Weston, Member of Parliament for Saint John, on behalf of the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and the Honourable Jack Keir, Minister of Energy, Minister responsible for New Brunswick Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency and Member of the Legislative Assembly for Fundy-River Valley.

The Minister of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy, and Minister responsible for the region of Chaudière‑Appalaches, Laurent Lessard, and the Member of Parliament for Beauce, the Honourable Maxime Bernier, are pleased to announce that 21 municipalities in the Beauce region will receive $17,041,573 through the federal‑provincial agreement on the transfer of a portion of federal gasoline excise tax revenues and the Quebec government’s contribution. These funds will be used for public transit and to carry out major infrastructure projects.
