The Broadway Subway Project will see the addition of six underground stations and 5.7 kilometres of track to the Millennium Line. The extension will run from VCC-Clark Station to Arbutus Street; 700 metres will be elevated guideway and the remainder will be tunneled. On opening day, the line will have the capacity to move three times as many people through the corridor. Tunnel boring has begun, and construction continues on the elevated guideway portion of the line as well as the underground stations.
