This nearly 40-kilometre conversion to two-lane divided Highway is the final step in the conversion of Route 185 to Autoroute 85, also known as Autoroute Claude-Béchard. The final portion runs from Saint-Antonin to Saint Louis-du-Ha!-Ha!, connecting Autoroute 20 at Notre-Dame-du-Portage to the New Brunswick border.
Work got underway in August 2019 and four of the seven sections have been commissioned.
