The new state-of-the-art hospital will provide increased capacity in areas such as emergency, surgical, inpatient, ambulatory care, medical imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, and cancer care services, to support thousands of additional patients every year. The new hospital and cancer centre will feature 168 acuity-adaptable inpatient beds, a surgical/perioperative suite with five operating rooms, four procedure rooms, and an emergency department with 55 treatment spaces. The BC Cancer Centre will be one of the largest in the province.
