The Île-aux-Tourtes bridge, which was commissioned in 1965, is located on autoroute Félix-Leclerc (autoroute 40) and links the island of Montréal (village of Senneville) and the Montérégie region (city of Vaudreuil-Dorion). This key structure is part of the strategic road network supporting trade. To ensure its sustainability, it will be rebuilt north of the existing bridge. The new bridge will include: three lanes in each direction; a multipurpose path; and wide shoulders designed for bus traffic only.
